Public Law 2025 c.645 makes operating, promoting, or supporting the operation or promotion of an online sweepstakes game a civil violation and a form of unlawful gambling.

Takes effect: 2026-07-29 (general effective date for non-emergency laws of the session)
Penalties: Fine of $10,000 to $100,000; licence revocation and ineligibility for Maine gambling licensees; also 'unlawful gambling' under 17-A MRSA 954(1-B)
