Funrize is a sweepstakes casino run by A1 Development LLC, registered in Wyoming, and it is currently operating. We say cautious because 12 lawsuits and regulator letters have been reported against it, and its Trustpilot score of 4.1 comes with 18% one-star reviews.
It suits players who read terms carefully, play Gold Coins for fun, and treat Sweeps Coins as a chance to redeem prizes, not a way to make money. If you want a casino with a clean public record, look elsewhere.
Is Funrize legit?
Based on its published terms, Funrize is a real company but carries real legal risk. It is run by A1 Development LLC at 571 S Washington, Afton, Wyoming 83110, and its terms are governed by Wyoming law. The Terms of Use are version 2.0, updated as of 03.06.2026, though that date could mean March 6 or June 3.
On Trustpilot, Funrize has 5,621 reviews and a 4.1 out of 5 score. The profile was claimed in December 2021, 18% of reviews are one-star, and Trustpilot notes no recent review invitations. Replies to reviews typically take over a month.
The Better Business Bureau rates A1 Development LLC (Funrize) an F. It is not BBB Accredited, and 73 complaints were closed in the last three years.
Any licenses or certifications Funrize claims, a parent company or casino group, and a launch year are not yet known.
Twelve items from court and regulator records have been reported against it. The Illinois Gaming Board sent a cease-and-desist letter dated February 4, 2026, alleging an illegal online casino. We do not know the current status. The Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Commission posted a cease-and-desist notice dated December 19, 2025. The Tennessee Attorney General named Funrize among almost forty sweepstakes casinos in a December 29, 2025 press release. The New York Attorney General included it among 26 platforms in a June 6, 2025 release. Eight federal civil cases have been reported, filed between July 30, 2025 and July 21, 2026, in districts including Kentucky, Ohio, Utah, New York, Illinois, California, and Alabama. Seven remain open; one was terminated July 16, 2026. There may be others we did not find.
How do Funrize redemptions work?
One Sweeps Coin equals one US dollar when redeemed. Funrize says you can redeem prizes the same way you last purchased coins, to a bank account, or as Amazon gift cards. Amazon gift cards are capped at 400.00 per day. Its minimum redemption amount and any redemption fees are not yet known. Our redemption guide covers the full process.
